2. BOOKINGS & PAYMENT

 

 

  • All experiences and rentals must be booked in advance through our website, email, or by phone.

  • Prices are displayed in ISK or EUR and include VAT unless otherwise stated.

3. CANCELLATIONS & REFUNDS

 

 

 

For Tours & Experiences:

 

 

  • Free cancellation up to 48 hours before the scheduled experience.

  • Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the experience are non-refundable.

  • No-shows will be charged the full amount.

 

 

 

For Rentals:

 

 

  • Cancellations made more than 48 hours in advance are eligible for a full refund.

  • If the equipment or gear has already been picked up or delivered, no refund is possible.

 

 

 

For Product Purchases (Online Shop):

 

 

  • Items may be returned within 14 days of delivery.

  • Items must be unused and in original packaging.

  • Refunds are issued once the item is returned and inspected.

  • Return shipping costs are the buyer’s responsibility unless the item was defective or incorrect.

 

 

 

 

 

4. RENTAL TERMS & LIABILITY

 

 

  • All rental items must be returned in the same condition in which they were received.

  • A security deposit may be required for high-value rentals (e.g., costumes, props).

  • The customer is fully liable for any loss, theft, or damage during the rental period.

  • If an item is returned damaged or not returned at all, the customer agrees to pay the repair or replacement cost.

  • Viking Experience Iceland is not responsible for any injuries or accidents that occur while using rented items.

 

 

 

 

 

5. TOUR & EXPERIENCE PARTICIPATION

 

 

  • Participants must be physically able to take part in the experience they book.

  • You are responsible for ensuring that you and your group follow all safety instructions given by our guides.

  • Viking Experience Iceland reserves the right to refuse participation to anyone under the influence of alcohol or drugs, or whose behavior endangers others.

  • Some experiences may have age restrictions or physical requirements (e.g., walking on uneven terrain, lifting items, etc.).

 

 

 

 

 

6. WEATHER & FORCE MAJEURE

 

 

  • Icelandic weather can be unpredictable. We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule tours or rentals due to severe weather, natural disasters, or other force majeure events.

  • In such cases, you will be offered the option to reschedule or receive a full refund.

12. DAMAGE DEPOSIT FOR RENTALS

 

 

When renting items from Viking Experience Iceland, you may be required to provide a damage deposit, which serves as a security against:

 

  • Lost or unreturned items

  • Damage beyond normal wear and tear

  • Late return penalties

 

 

 

 

 

12.1 Deposit Amount

12.2 Refund of Deposit

 

 

  • The deposit is refunded in full once all items are returned on time and in undamaged condition.

  • Refunds are typically processed within 3–7 business days after the return inspection.

 

 

 

12.3 Deductions From Deposit

 

 

We reserve the right to deduct part or all of the deposit for the following reasons:

 

  • Late return of item(s): a fee of 10–50% may be charged depending on the delay.

  • Minor damage such as stains, scratches, or scuffs: cleaning or minor repair fees will apply.

  • Major damage such as tears, burns, or structural damage: the full repair or replacement cost will be deducted.

  • Missing item or accessory (e.g., helmet, belt, pouch): the full replacement cost will be deducted.

  • Total loss or theft of an item: 100% of the replacement value will be deducted.

 

 

 

 

 

12.4 Customer Agreement

 

 

By renting items from Viking Experience Iceland, you agree to:

 

  • Take reasonable care of all rented items.

  • Use the items only for their intended purpose.

  • Return all items on or before the agreed return date.

If damages or losses exceed the value of the deposit, Viking Experience Iceland reserves the right to invoice you for the remaining balance.
